Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls
These no-bake peanut butter balls are given a sweet and salty twist with the addition of crushed pretzels. The pretzels not only add salt, but a fun crunch as well. You can also add mini chocolate chips for a pop of chocolate flavor and another texture variation - I highly recommend it! A perfect bite-sized sweet and salty treat.
Mix the Dough
These Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls are super easy to make. You just need to make sure to leave a little extra time for chilling the dough.
To make the dough, mix together peanut butter and softened butter in a larger bowl using a handheld or stand mixer with a paddle attachment until smooth. Add powdered sugar, crushed pretzels, and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined. If desired, stir in mini chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate the dough for 15-30 minutes to allow it to firm up a little bit before rolling it into balls.
Shape and Chill the Balls
Roll the chilled mixture into balls about the size of a ping pong ball. Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Store the peanut butter pretzel balls in the refrigerator for a softer texture or freeze for a more firm texture (my preferred version!). I recommend letting frozen balls sit out at room temperature for a few minutes before trying to bite them.
